Services for Private Clients
Sarah Naybour's landscape and garden designs are based on the belief that every project is unique: "Each space and client having different needs makes garden design exciting." The created landscape must sit comfortably in its own environment, where the relationship between soft and hard landscape is harmonious, giving you a sense of belonging.
Full Design Service
Every client and every garden is different. Sarah's aim is to give
each private client an outdoor space which meets their needs as well as the needs of the space. Meeting these joint needs IS the creative challenge for Sarah and she will not impose a 'style' on you.
Sarah will visit the site, present her portfolio and talk to all who will
be using the garden. This consultation allows the client to familiarise themselves with Sarah's design process. Sarah will then produce a Project Profile. This forms the basis on which the design will be built, including a proposed budget, and allows us to draw up an agreement.
The design process then begins, starting with outline plans and sketches. Once the client is happy with the layout Sarah will work
on the details, construction drawings and specifications for the contractor who will be building the garden. Sarah can also advise on a good contractor and additionally administer the actual build. Many garden designers will only provide you with plans and sketches.
The design service is charged as a percentage of the overall budget
as per the Society of Garden Designers Scale of Charges.
Planting Design Service
It may be that you are happy with the layout of your garden but just want your planting beds re-designed. I will come and talk through your needs and discuss what you have already, assess the soil and micro-climate of the garden. I will then make up a plant list, including images, for your approval, before drawing up detailed planting plans.
Then the fun begins as I plant the new scheme and you sit back and watch it grow!
