We recently designed a garden for a client who helps heal others in her capacity as a brilliant brain surgeon. After a hard day walking on a prosthetic leg needs her own space to recharge in and heal in.
The garden we designed is spacious enough to include wildflower meadow, woodland planting, billowing perennial planting and a vegetable garden. The garden structures are rectilinear closer to the house, with rich herbaceous planting, which gives way to curvaceous shapes and circles closer to the wilder spaces. A very long deck which is flush with the ground floor living room, leads our client to her pond and hot tub. The oval pond and adjoining gravel terrace are a quiet shaded space to relax and watch the reflection of the sky in the waters surface, a fair vantage point across to for the meadow and orchard.
